Long prized in Tibet, it would offend the traditional Tibetan to refer to turquoise as 'stone.' Turquoise is considered to be so much more! Throughout Tibetan history turquoise has been valued for adornment, preserving wealth and it's medicinal and ritual use.
Turquoise ranges in color from pure robin's egg blue to green. Most pieces contain spider web matrix veins of brown, grey and black. Greenish turquoise exhibiting matrix is more plentiful than pure blue - but as you see, none less attractive
