Tahitian pearls are 'Kings' of the pearl world. Referred to as black pearls, their colors are a gorgeous and versatile range of silver, green, blue, copper, and even purple overtones. The black-lipped pinctada maxima oyster from which they are cultivated reaches a foot or more in diameter and its pearls can be as large as 15mm. Wow!
